Dr. Skye Naslund

Skye Naslund is an assistant professor of Geography at Binghamton University. As a critical health geographer, Skye’s research examines spatial patterns of health and disease to question how health knowledge is produced, circulated, and applied. Skye is currently working on projects examining the effects of geographic imaginaries on health (i.e. what places we imagine to be healthy or not, why, and what impact that has), the distribution of pharmacy closures across the United States, and the health-seeking behavior of HIV+ people in Botswana. Skye also leads to Community Engaged Learning Lab working with students to explore spatial questions related to health in the greater Binghamton community.
