Mr. Neil Tinmouth

SEA-KIT International

Mr. Neil Tinmouth is a geologist and hydrographic surveyor with over 14 years’ experience in the nearshore and marine sector. As Chief Operating Officer for SEA-KIT International, he is responsible for identifying market trends and helping to develop the company’s strategic road map. Prior to joining SEA-KIT, Mr. Tinmouth worked as a consultant helping SMEs to develop clear and executable business strategies. He was one of the founding members of the GEBCO-NF Alumni team that won the 2019 Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE competition and was part of the establishing committee of the NGO, Map the Gaps. Mr. Tinmouth joined SEA-KIT after working with them throughout the XPRIZE competition.

Born in Durban, South Africa, he studied at the University of KwaZulu Natal where he received his Masters in Geology cum laude, going on to complete an MBA at the University of Stellenbosch. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Ocean Mapping from the University of New Hampshire. Having worked in over 20 countries, Mr. Tinmouth has extensive experience in end to end execution and delivery of numerous international projects. He recently worked closely with the European Space Agency on a 22-day Atlantic survey project that SEA-KIT successfully completed in August 2020 and is currently resident in the UK.
