Dr. Jejung Lee

Dr. Jejung "JJ" Lee is a professor and Associate Director of the Division of Natural and Built Environment and Director of the Center for Applied Environmental Research at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Dr. Lee was also a principal investigator of the National Science Foundation (NSF) project titled ‘SCC-PG: Developing Food Oases in the Urban Food Deserts with Smart Urban Grower Network,’ and a co-principal investigator of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) project titled ‘From Seed to Table: Military Veteran Training for Sustainable Container Farming Initiatives.’ As a hydrologist, Dr. Lee has secured over 2 million dollars of research grants from NSF, USDA, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and other international agencies, and led various international teams for hydrological research in Central and West Africa.
