Dr. Hamidreza Norouzi

Dr. Hamidreza (Hamid) Norouzi, P.E., is Professor of Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology at the New York City College of Technology (CUNY) and Co-Founder of Eco Rising Solutions, a climate-tech startup advancing geospatial and AI-driven resilience tools. At City Tech, he also serves as Director of Undergraduate Research, where he has mentored hundreds of students and secured over $20 million in external funding for his research and projects.

Dr. Norouzi’s research integrates satellite remote sensing, in-situ observations, and machine learning to address pressing environmental challenges, from urban climate adaptation to water quality monitoring. His recent work focuses on forecasting extreme heat in urban transit systems, developing novel AI-based models to enhance public safety, resilience, and infrastructure planning.

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, contributed to NASA, NSF, and DOE-funded projects. Through Eco Rising Solutions, he is leading efforts to translate academic advances into scalable products for cities, utilities, and communities facing climate risk.
